Patrick is the youngest addition to our growing team of attorneys. He graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in 2020 and is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and Washington, DC. Although he's only recently relocated from Maine, Patrick is not new to our region. His family has extensive roots in Greater Philadelphia and across South Jersey, including many proud graduates of La Salle, Penn, St. Joe's, Temple, and Villanova.
Prior to law school, Patrick attended La Salle University, graduating in 2012 with degrees in History and German. He spent part of his Junior year in Germany, studying at the Max-Weber-Haus of Ruprecht-Karls Universität in Heidelberg as an exchange student. Following graduation, Patrick spent a year in the United Kingdom studying at the University of York, completing a Post-Graduate Certificate in Modern History. Initially intending to become a high school history teacher, Patrick's pathway to a career in law included working for Aflac, Liberty Mutual, and the US Department of State.
Quickly drawn to the immigration field from his experiences with the State Department, Patrick spent the better part of two years training to join a firm like DeCosmo Law. While a law student, Patrick interned with both state and federal government agencies to learn the best practices in dealing with complex bureaucracies, which included working for Maine's Workers' Compensation Board and later interning in Washington DC with Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Office of Custody Management. Patrick also worked as a student-attorney his final year of law school assisting the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project (ILAP), Maine's only registered legal services non-profit, interviewing refugees, helping to file asylum applications, and engaging in public advocacy.
