In his almost 5 years as an attorney at Philadelphia's Nationalities Service Center (NSC), Mr. Munoz represented hundreds of clients in naturalization, family petitions, asylum, consular processing, waivers of inadmissibility and removal defense in immigration court for both detained and non-detained clients, including successful appeals of USCIS and Immigration Judge decisions to the AAO and BIA, and was the inaugural Immigrant Justice Program Attorney at NSC.
After that, Mr. Munoz worked for almost 2 years at Sachs Law Group, LLC under founder Wayne Sachs, Esq. where he expanded his practice to include federal litigation in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and District Court of New Jersey, while frequently dealing with the immigration consequences of criminal issues.
In October 2021, Mr. Munoz returned to Camden, NJ, joining DeCosmo Law as the Senior Associate. As an immigrant himself, Mr. Munoz draws on not only his own professional expertise to help achieve the best outcomes he can for his clients, but works collaboratively with the team of lawyers at DeCosmo Law to collaboratively use the collective expertise of the entire legal lteam to strategize the best course for our clients, and he also draws on his own personal and familial experience to guide clients in a way that empowers them and helps them understand their best choices as they navigate the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Immigration Courts.
For several years, Mr. Munoz taught a course in U.S. Government at LaSalle University's BUSCA program, targeted toward immigrant students, and taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in the neighboring Allentown community while in college.
