Samantha Leeds graduated with honors from Washburn University School of Law, where she was awarded the school's highest merit scholarship.
Samantha has a long standing passion and commitment to immigration law. She spent her first year of university in Argentina, where she became fluent in Spanish. Upon returning to the US, Samantha continued to work closely with immigrant communities. She has served as an ESL instructor as well as a Spanish interpreter in social work and legal settings.
During law school, she was introduced to removal defense practice through her internship with one of the most well respected immigration firms in the Midwest. She also interned with the Missouri Public Defender, where she gained critical experience with criminal defense.
Samantha has dedicated her career to serving immigrants and their families. She began work as an attorney at Texas non-profit. There, she vigorously defended asylum-seekers, those in removal proceedings, and those seeking to adjust their immigration status, including those detained at the border. She guided clients though the complex immigration system every step of the way, from intake, to the final hearing. In November 2020, Samantha joined DeCosmo & Rolón as an associate attorney.
