DeCosmo & Rolon is pleased to announce that Anne T. Picker is joining our firm as its new of-counsel attorney. In this position, Anne will enhance the firm’s diverse immigration practice, utilizing her specialized knowledge and years of experience in criminal cases that have immigration consequences.

Anne was employed by the State Office of the Public Defender for almost her entire 33-year career and has tried over 60 cases. In 2001, she was hand-picked to assist in the creation of and then work in the Post-Conviction Relief Unit, a specialized unit in the Office of the Public Defender. Anne is well regarded as an authority on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. From 2011-2019 she was the in-house immigration specialists tasked with advising all state public defenders on how to assist their immigrant clients with navigating the criminal justice system. Anne graduated Brandeis University in 1982, Cum Laude, with Departmental Honors, with a degree in Classical and Oriental Studies, and Rutgers-Camden Law School in 1985. She is also a 13+ year District IV Ethics Committee veteran. She has served (twice) as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Supreme Court of New Jersey District IV Ethics Committee as well as both prosecuting (presenting) and judging (serving as panel chair) for numerous ethics investigations and hearings.
