It was unclear what led to the reported event, but nonetheless, the woman was charged with assault and battery, to which she had pleaded not guilty.
The situation does not end there. The woman was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement who claim that she is in the country illegally. However, her immigration attorney stated that the Brazil native is married to a U.S. citizen and has submitted an application for a green card. At the time of the report, the woman had been released from ICE custody, and removal proceedings were pending.
